Nephilim (Nephelim, Nephilim, Niphelim, Niphilim, Nephelem) are an
ancient and nearly extinct race born from a
union of Angels and Demons engineered by the
demoness Lilith. Huge giants (Niphelim) - spoken
about in Genesis 6:4-5, Numbers
13:33, and Deuteronomy 2:21 ... and IN
DETAIL in The Book of Enoch.
Also, read
Ezekiel 37 - it is the story of bones ... suddenly getting flesh on
them and becoming alive. Don't believe me? Go ahead - take a read
in God's Word. Also, in the book of Enoch (1), the giants are
described as being extremely tall, with a height of 150m (450').
Ezekiel 32:27, Genesis 6:13, The Bible describes them as “the mighty
ones of old times, the men of fame.” (Genesis 6:4) They left behind a
legacy of violence and fear. Genesis 6:5; Numbers 13:33.
Deuteronomy 2:21 - “Then Sibbecai the Hushathite struck down Saph, who
was one of the descendants of the giants. A people great and
many, and tall as the Anakim; but the Lord destroyed them before the
Ammonites, and they dispossessed them and settled in their
place.” The Nephelim were spiritual being-human hybrids and
wicked, violent giants. The Anakim, who inhabited the land of Canaan,
were descendants of the Nephelim: “the fallen ones,” the Rephaim, “the
dead ones”—these descriptions are all applied to one group of
characters found within the Hebrew Bible.
Nephilim are also mentioned in the deuterocanonical books Judith 16:6,
Sirach 16:7, Baruch 3:26–28, and Wisdom 14:6
Book of Jubilees 7:21-22 which states the 3-4 races of giants: Elioud,
Naphidim, Naphil, and Eljo.

"Nearly every culture has ancient ... exaggerated. The “giants” of the
Bible were not "the giants of myth”
The Egyptian copies listed many Nephelim as 1,000 cubits [see just
below] - that's
higher than the highest building in the world. The textus
receptus in
Numbers 13:33 (it MUST be true - it's the receptus!)
states "we were
like glasshoppers to them". Although the actual Hebrew word means
"Locusts", that's a tivial difference. But imagine how big
someone would be -
for you to be "a grasshopper" in comparison. That's NOT 9
cubits. I think there were MANY
different heights, and gene inheritance. IT is said that thee wee
3 main "aces" of Nephilim. Most people want "simple" - I
get that. "Jesus loves you - that's ALL you need to know."
OK and all
.... but I'm gonna dig deeper :-)
Enoch 7:2
- Translation 1 (I forgot the language) - The giants were 3000
cubits (1.37km / 4500’) tall
- The Ethiopic version states 300 cubits (137m / 450’) tall
There were 3 (main) races of Watchers: Elioud was one of those
races,
and “Elioud” became “el” (a cubit), and “3” became “3000” - to
exaggerate.

1 Enoch 7:2
Elioud - is one of the 3 main races.
Anacheim (Ann-uh-heem) is another
The Book of Enoch: this is
a book the Jews have had (and fully accepted) for centuries, they are
comfortable with the information as being from God for His people.
The Nephilim (Giants) were suppressed - either by Religion or
Governments (or both). Although the Bible speaks of Angels - of
huge proportions, people don't do "critical thinking" and realize that
God DID create others (Angels) - which ARE
extra-terrestial. That is - unless Angels only live here on
Earth, and NO WAY could they be invisible. [grin]

ALL early explorers (you would recognize ALL of their names) - wrote of
huge giant people. The Natives wrote about them, and how they
banded together to kill them (genocide).
The heights written
about ranged from "a tall person" - to several times the height of a
person. So, even if people back then were indeed very short, what
is several times that of "short"? That is TALL!!
But there are writings of Nephallim being "over 40 cubits"
... just to tell you - a typical 2 storey home is not
even 40 cubits Your ceilings in your home are 4 to 5 cubits. Is
this extreme height making more sense now? Or are you
scared? And not wanting to believe it? Now, remember
- the early people had never seen a whale, and dismissed it all as
"made up".
Who are the Nephilim? (Hebrew: נְפִילִים)
For those who "snub" Noah's great-grandfather Enoch (who was one of

THREE to be taken to heaven while alive - another was Jesus!), and
claim "it wasn't

Nephilim (giants) ... in Genesis 6, we're confronted with a
curious reference to the Nephilim. Who are they? Were
they a race who
came to be through the mingling of divine beings and the daughters of
men? Were the Nephilim engineered by God's enemies to thwart his plans
for mankind?

According to Sumerian tablets and Book of Enki translated from them,
the Anunaki created humans in their image by _crossbreeding with apes_
. After a few iterations of males - intelligent and strong enough to
perform the gold mining labor, they made females for self reproduction
as it was less work than creating one person at a time by lab and IVF
with Anunaki women carrying the children. The humans over thousands of
years worshipped Anunaki as gods, and wanted to look like them (Anunaki
have penises that naturally resemble a circumcised human’s). Each
Anunaki person took a region of land and had their own kingdoms with
rules. Abraham was a high ranking human since he led and won an atomic
war for the Anunaki. He was awarded land and to be the patriarch for
populating his line.

NOTE:
Question of the century:
Why did “a loving God" command that children be killed??
EASY:
How did Nephilim reappear after the flood?
hermeneutics.stackexchange.com/questions/34181
That second outbreak of Nephilim occurred shortly after the Flood. We
know that because when Abraham entered the land of Canaan, about 400
years after the Flood, “the Canaanite was already in the land” (Gen.
12:6).
These “Canaanites” were Nephilim. We know that because, by Genesis
14:5, some of the inhabitants of Canaan were being called “Rephaim,”
and the Rephaim were Nephilim, and were descendants of “Rapha.” After
the Exodus, when the Israelites came out of Egypt, Moses sent spies
into the Promised Land. The spies encountered Nephilim in the Promised
Land and returned to Moses and the Israelites in the wilderness. The
spies reported: “And we saw the Nephilim there (the sons of Anak come
from the Nephilim), and in our own sight we seemed like grasshoppers,
and we seemed that way in their sight” (Num. 13:33 REV). The report of
the spies shows they knew what the Nephilim were and that the Nephilim
were very large people, even “giants.” Moses told Israel to conquer
Canaan and not to be afraid of the Nephilim. Moses said, “Hear, O
Israel: you are to cross over the Jordan [River] today, to go in to
dispossess nations greater and mightier than you, cities great and
fortified up to heaven, a people great and tall, the sons of the
Anakim, whom you know, and of whom you have heard it said, ‘Who can
stand before the sons of Anak?’” (Deut. 9:1-2 ESV). Thus in Numbers and
Deuteronomy Moses referred to the Canaanite nations as being “Anakim,”
descendants of Anak, which meant they were Nephilim (Num. 13:33).
Joshua and the Israelites conquered the Promised Land and killed off
the Nephilim—except for the ones who lived in the southwest seacoast
area bordering the Mediterranean Sea. That area was inhabited by the
Philistines, whose capital cities were Gaza, Gath, Ashkelon, Ashdod,
and Ekron (Josh. 13:3; 1 Sam. 6:17). “At that time Joshua proceeded to
exterminate the Anakim from the hill country—Hebron Debir, Anab—all the
hill country of Judah and of Israel. Joshua completely destroyed them
with their cities. No Anakim were left in the land of the Israelites,
except for some remaining in Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod” (Josh. 11:21-22
HCSB). So the cities that still had Nephilim after Joshua conquered
Canaan included the city of Gath, and that is where Goliath, one of the
Nephilim, came from. The Nephilim that Joshua left in the Philistine
cities were killed off by David, who had war after war with the
Philistines. But whereas Joshua referred to them as “Anakim” because
they were descendants of Anak (Josh. 11:22), in other places they are
referred to as Rephaites or Rephaim because some of them descended from
Rapha (1 Chron. 20:4, 6, 8). We should not be confused about the
Nephilim in Israel sometimes being called Anakim and sometimes being
called Rephaites or Rephaim because it is likely that descendants of
Anak married descendants of Rapha. After all, both Anak and Rapha were
Nephilim and lived and had children in the same general area, so in a
few generations, some of those children would be both Anakim and
Rephaites. Once we understand that the gene pool of the Canaanites had
been corrupted by the Nephilim, a mutant race that was evil and unable
to be saved, we can see why God commanded Moses and Joshua to wipe them
out, including the children. The baby of a Nephilim could not be
trained to be godly any more than a baby rattlesnake could be trained
not to have venom. Their behavior is influenced by their genetics.
How tall was Goliath?
They have deduced that Goliath was about 2.9m (9-9) tall. This would
have been a very tall man by today’s standards, and would have been an
intimidating opponent for anyone to face. Goliath’s exact height
is not known for sure, but the oldest manuscripts (the Dead Sea Scrolls
text of Samuel, the historian Josephus, and the major Septuagint
manuscripts) all give Goliath’s height as “four cubits and a span”,
which is 206cm (6-9). However, the Masoretic Text has “six cubits and a
span”, or 288 cm (9-6).
A cubit is 44.4cm to 52.92cm (1 ft 51⁄2 in to 1 ft 813⁄16 in), with an
ancient Roman cubit being as long as 120 cm (3 ft 11 in). Cubits of
various lengths were employed in many parts of the world in antiquity,
during the Middle Ages and as recently as early modern times.
How tall was Jesus?
This is a description of the average man’s height at the time. He may
have stood about 166 cm (5-5) tall. I disagree - I think the average
height was less than 1.4m.
How much did Goliath sword weigh?
Goliath’s sword was significantly larger and heavier than a normal long
sword. It weighed 600 shekels, or about 7kg (15 pounds). This would
have made it very difficult to wield and would have given Goliath a
significant advantage in battle.

3 theories why the Nephelim were still here:
1 - Fallen angels CONTINUED after the flood.
2 - the Nephilim DNA came from the wives of the sons of Noah. (we
know that the descendants of Ham became evil quickly. Especially
when we look at Nimrod (no joke!) - who is actually called “Enmerkar”
in ancient Sumerian. He is described as a MIGHTY man - he was at least
a Gibborim (Hebrew word for “a giant of a man”), but he MAY have been a
Niphelim. The first mighty man after the flood. He was the
first world leader after the flood. But he rebelled against God.
His father was Cush. The beginning of Nimrod’s kingdom was Babel.
3 - they survived by hanging on to the Ark, or making boats.
Goliath had brothers. King Og is another example. Deut 3:11
Rephaim were a different tribe of Nephelim. Rephaim’s bed was
4.11m long (13.5’),

authorial intention.

until they see it in Daniel 4:13, 17, 23
The "loophole" is when Yeshua
("Jesus") came to bridge a way from
sin. EXCELLENT acting, and an excellent movie - I recommend
it. It even tells - at the end - the message of salvation (the
Gospel), and to "never forget it". I like how oneWatcher (the
good-looking guy) - after the bad watcher said "God can never forgive
us - after what we have done!" - he replied "He already has." and he
helped slay the bad guy. The film is set in the "AntiChrist" timeframe,
so there was devastation and despair .... but the "upper" people were
all ok. See the movie "loophole" - but make sure you are ready for a
SCARY movie!! But it's factually CORRECT!!
At the origin of the Watchers tradition is the single enigmatic
reference in Genesis 6 to the sons of God who had intercourse with
human women, producing a race
https://www.jstor.org/stable/j.ctt22nmb25
https://swisscows.com/en/web?query=bible%2C+the+watchers
Various ancient Jewish and Christian texts speak of the Watchers,
angels who fell in love and married mortal women during the time of
Noah. This union of humans and angels produced monstrous offspring, the
Nephilim or giants, whose destructive ways were one of the primary
explanations for God enacting a worldwide flood.
The Book of the Watchers, an ancient Jewish text of the third or second
century BCE that is now collected in 1 Enoch 1–36. The meaning of the
term Watcher is unclear, but it likely relates to a Hebrew root that
means “to rouse oneself/be awake.” According to the Book of the
Watchers, the Watchers are angelic beings who descend from heaven, have
relations with earthly women, produce gigantic offspring, and introduce
humankind to forbidden knowledge. The Watchers follow the lead of two
chief angel figures, Shemihazah, who leads the Watchers down to earth
to have forbidden sex with human women, and Asael, who introduces
humankind to forbidden knowledge. The Watchers almost certainly have
some connection to the sons of God mentioned in Gen 6:1–13, who descend
to earth, cohabit with daughters of men, and produce the Nephilim.
What evil did the Watchers introduce into the world?
The Watchers traditions position angelic descent as an explanation for
the origins of human sin and suffering. Where and when evil enters into
the world, however, is ambiguous. Many biblical scholars and ancient
interpreters believe that the dominant sin of the Watchers was bringing
sexual desire to the world, a direct result of their cohabitation with
earthly women. Alternatively, the sin brought by the Watchers could be
violence, as implied by their offspring, the Nephilim or giants, who
produced an outcry on the earth that resulted in conflict and
destruction. According to 1 En. 15:9–12, upon the death of the
Nephilim, their souls continued to torment the earth in the form of
demonic entities. Whatever evil the Watchers were said to have
introduced, the texts that mention the Watchers functioned to shore up
the boundaries between Jews and non-Jews. They explained why the
faithful were persecuted and why there continued to be alternative
cultic systems.
The Cherubim and "Seraphim":
A cherub (Hebrew כְּרוּב “kərūḇ” or
כְּרוּבִים “kərūḇīm") is one type of supernatural being in the
Abrahamic religions. The numerous depictions of cherubim assign to them
many different roles, such as protecting the entrance of the Garden.
The cherubim are first mentioned in Genesis 3:24, “After He drove the
man out, He placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and
a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of
life.” Prior to his rebellion, Satan was a cherub (Ezekiel 28:12-15).
The tabernacle and temple along with their articles contained many
representations of cherubim (Exodus 25:17-22; 26:1, 31; 36:8; 1 Kings
6:23-35; 7:29-36; 8:6-7; 1 Chronicles 28:18; 2 Chronicles 3:7-14; 2
Chronicles 3:10-13; 5:7-8; Hebrews 9:5).
Chapters 1 and 10 of the book of Ezekiel describe the “four living
creatures” (Ezekiel 1:5) as the same beings as the cherubim (Ezekiel
10). Each had four faces—that of a man, a lion, an ox, and an eagle
(Ezekiel 1:10; also 10:14)—and each had 4 wings.
People don't realize that God's creation was _vast_ , and there were
many, many types of beings. *No* Christian wants to hear this,
but my dad is CIA, and he knows Dr Daniel Durrich, Bob Lazar, and
several others - including Military Pilots - who have videoed
encounters. Well, they have 7 craft at S-3 (you will never hear
that, or see anything about it, but it's "Groom Lake" - about 45
minutes from "Area 51") - and Durrich was one of many
biologists - that analyzed the cells of the beings from those
craft. Although it the Government's most guarded secret, I
personally have no problems with beings from other worlds ... ."Angels"
are, and God is, so actually Christians have no issues either ... they
just don't do any "critical thinking". So, we have many humanoid
beings from Androgonica, and other places - and we have Angels, Demons
.... there is lots going on!
In closing, our sun - is one of the smallest stars known. The
star "UY Scuti" is even larger than Canis Majoris ("Big Dog"). It has a
radius of 1.188 billion kilometers. Our sun is "only" 695,700
km. Since this star cannot be seen with the human eye, it is hard
to understand why God would create massive galaxies - trillions of
light years away - which we will never be able to see. Even at
our rate of engineering, they figure we will be able to see some of the
closer ones - in about 500 billion years. Most christians don't
think we have "that long", so "why bother"?

The Leviathan
"le-VIE-ə-thən”
Hebrew: לִוְיָתָן,
Greek: Λεβιάθαν
A sea serpent demon noted in theology (and mythology). It
is referenced in the Hebrew Bible, as a metaphor for a powerful enemy,
notably Babylon.
A sea monster defeated by Yahweh (God) in various scriptural
accounts. Old Testament references to a huge sea monster,
Leviathan (in Hebrew, Liwyāthān), are thought to come from an ancient
myth in which the god Baal slays a multiheaded sea monster. Leviathan
appears in the Book of Psalms, as a sea serpent that is killed by God
and then given as food to creatures in the wilderness, and it is
mentioned in the Book of Job as well. Today, its name is used for
"something monstrous or of enormous size."

Demons:
First:
I pray in Latin. Yes, I start my day with ... every morning, I pray:
"Deus, amove a me daemonia vel mala a facie mea, et tu illos
percuti!" (Latin - the earthly language of the Demons)
"Elohim, haser kel shadim o ro'a menukachuti, vehaka otem!"
(Hebrew)
"God, remove any demons or evil from my presence, and strike them!"
(It's amazing how close Latin is - to Spanish. "Mala" (evil) is "mollo"
in Spanish. "Deus" (God) - is "Deos" in Spanish.)
Next:
I bring up "demons", and everyone wants at least ONE verse to be read
and "microscoped". I 'get it', but I always then quote Genesis 6:4,
then
if they keep listening (most walk away - although I'm directly
quoting!), I tell them [the verses just below]. They get VERY
uncomfortable, but hey - I'm quoting scripture. People
these
days want "fluffy". One of the most ironic/comedic things I
have experienced is: People SAY they want to lean MORE, and
DEEPER. Then when you give that to them, they don't
like it.
Then when you give them what they are USED TO, they say "we've heard
this all before". [duuuh!]
It's a "no-win" situation, and it's frustrating, but - going by
the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek - is the best we can do.
Remember, the King James (drawn HEAVILY from the Tyndale version)
- is
an English translation - of a Latin translation - of Greek translation
- of Aramaic speech.
So, if you don't like Demons, then DON'T
READ THE BIBLE. The rest
of you, come with me...

The word “demons” cannot be understood literally. The name "Mirjam"
("Maria") was seen as a title of high honor during the peak of Qumram.
During that time, women with this name held high spiritual appointments
within the religious communities. For example, these women were trained
in the art of healing or lead liturgic ceremonies for women. These
women were bound to celibacy and understood the authority of the
highest scribe. During the times of Mary Magdalene, the scribe was
Judas Iskariot, who was described as the “seventh demon-priest”. Before
Mary Magdalene got married, Judas released her from celibacy and this
is where the phrase “seven demons were cast out of her” came from.
After that occurred she was allowed to have physical contact with her
husband, but only according to strict rules.

People don't

but they believe in [invisible] Angels.

Many say 'no, they wouldn't". Well, how many times have you heard
a Church member say "OMG"??
Same EVIL!!
The Movie "Nefarious"
does an incredibly accurate job, and superbly acted. Many
Christian say "don't watch it" because it talks about demons.
Then throw away Luke and much of The Bible (!!!) Evil is
well-summed this way:
First we overlook evil.
Then we permit evil.
Then we legalize evil.
Then we promote evil.
Then we celebrate evil.
Then we persecute those who still call it evil.

By the way, this photo is OF AN ACTUAL PERSON. See the
smile? And you thought "demonic" was ANGRY and foaming at the
mouth.
For those who don't believe in things you can't see (like air,
water, Infrared light, viruses, radiation, and love) - I'll call it
"evil". For those who don't believe "evil" exists, I have nothing
to say to them - since the definition of "evil" is "bad, not
good". Life must be GREAT for them - nothing is bad, or "not
good'. What a wonderful life. I'll hit them on the head
with this hammer, and they will LOVE it.
History and theology of Demons
Demons
Systematic knowledge concerning demons or evil spirits. Demons (Greek,
δαίμονες or δαιμόνια; Hebrew, [Deut. xxxii. 17; Ps. cvi. 37]
and [Lev. xvii. 7; II Chron. xi. 15; A. V. "devils"; Luther,
"Feldgeister" and "Feldteufel"];
Aramaic, or rabbinical, and as spirits animating all elements of life
and inhabiting all parts of the world, have their place in the
primitive belief of all tribes and races.
When certain deities rose to be the objects of regular worship and
became the rulers of the powers of life, demons, or spirits, were
subordinated to them. But inasmuch as they were still feared and
occasionally worshiped by the populace, they became the objects of
popular superstition. Jewish demonology can at no time be viewed as the
outcome of an antecedent Hebrew belief. While the nomadic Hebrews had
much in common with the Arabian Bedouins in their belief in spirits
(see Wellhausen, "Reste Arabischen Heidenthums: Skizzen und
Vorarbeiten," 1887, iii. 135 et seq.; Smith, "Rel. of Sem." 1889, pp.
112-125, 422 et seq.)
Canaanite practise and belief were greatly influenced by ancient
Chaldea, whose demonologyis in the main pre-Semitic (see
Lenormant, "Chaldean Magic," 1877, pp. 23-38; German transl.,
1878, pp. 22-41; Jastrow, "Religion of Babylonia and Assyria," pp. 260
et seq.; Zimmern, in Schrader's "K. A. T." 1902, ii. 458-464).
In Babylonia the Jews came under the influence of both the Chaldean and
the Persian belief in good and in evil spirits, and this dualistic
system became a dominant factor of Jewish demonology and Angelology. In
Europe, Teutonic, Celtic, and Slavonic demonology in the form of
superstition permeated Jewish practise and belief.
Demons in the Bible
The demons mentioned in the Bible are of two classes, the "se'irim" and
the "shedim." The se'irim ("hairy beings"), to which the Israelites
sacrificed in the open fields (Lev. xvii. 7; A. V. "devils"; R. V.,
incorrectly, "he-goats"), are satyr-like demons, described as dancing
in the wilderness (Isa. xiii. 21, xxxiv. 14; compare Maimonides,
"Moreh," iii. 46; Vergil's "Eclogues," v. 73, "saltantes satyri"), and
are identical with the jinn of the Arabian woods and deserts (see
Wellhausen, l.c., and Smith, l.c.).
To the same class belongs Azazel, the goat-like demon of the wilderness
(Lev. xvi. 10 et seq.), probably the chief of the se'irim, and Lilith
(Isa. xxxiv. 14). Possibly "the roes and hinds of the field," by which
Shulamit conjures the daughters of Jerusalem to bring her back to her
lover (Cant. ii. 7, iii. 5), are faunlike spirits similar to the
se'irim, though of a harmless nature. The (Job v. 23. A. V.
"stones of the field"), with which the righteous are said to be in
league - obviously identical with, if not a corruption of, the
(Mishnah Kil. viii. 5), explained in Yer. Kil. 31c as "a fabulous
mountain-man drawing nourishment from the ground" (see Jastrow,
"Dict.," and Levy, "Neuhebr. Wörterb." s.v. ) - seem to be field-demons
of the same nature.
The wilderness as the home of demons was regarded as the place whence
such diseases as leprosy issued, and in cases of leprosy one of the
birds set apart to be offered as an expiatory sacrifice was released
that it might carry the disease back to the desert (Lev. xiv. 7, 52;
compare a similar rite in Sayce, "Hibbert Lectures," 1887, p. 461, and
"Zeit. für Assyr." 1902, p. 149).
The Israelites also offered sacrifices to the shedim (Deut. xxxii. 17;
Ps. cvi. 37). The name (believed by Hoffmann, "Hiob," 1891, to
occur in Job v. 21), for a long time erroneously connected with "the
Almighty" (), denotes a storm-demon (from , Isa. xiii. 6; A. V.
"destruction"; compare Psxci. 6, , "that stormeth about"; A. V. "that
wasteth").
In Chaldean mythology the seven evil deities were known as "shedim,"
storm-demons, represented in ox-like form; and because these oxcolossi
representing evil demons were, by a peculiar law of contrast, used also
as protective genii of royal palaces and the like, the name "shed"
assumed also the meaning of a propitious genius in Babylonian magic
literature (see Delitzsch, "Assyrisches Handwörterb." pp. 60, 253, 261,
646; Jensen, "Assyr.-Babyl. Mythen und Epen," 1900, p. 453; Sayce, l.c.
pp. 441, 450, 463; Lenormant, l.c. pp. 48-51).
It was from Chaldea that the name "shedim" = evil demons came to the
Israelites, and so the sacred writers in tentionally applied the word
in a dyslogistic sense to the Canaanite deities 'in the two passages
quoted. But they also spoke of "the destroyer" (Ex. xii. 23) as a demon
whose malignant effect upon the houses of the Israelites was to be
warded off by the blood of the paschal sacrifice sprinkled upon the
lintel and the door-post (a corresponding pagan talisman is mentioned
in Isa. lvii. 8). In II Sam. xxiv; 16 and II Chron. xxi. 15 the
pestilence-dealing demon is called = "the destroying angel" (compare
"the angel of the Lord" in II Kings xix. 35; Isa. xxxvii. 36), because,
although they are demons, these "evil messengers" (Ps. lxxviii. 49; A.
V. "evil angels") do only the bidding of God, their Master; they are
the agents of His divine wrath.

Demon Possession:

https://www.qwant.com/?q=what+does+demon+possession+mean
“Demon possession” is a term frequently used to translate the Greek
term "daimonizomai" in the New Testament. This term describes a variety
of conditions, both physical and emotional-mental-psychological, for
which the cause is identified as direct demonic influence. The remedy
that was used by Jesus and the Early Church for such conditions was
exorcism. Aside from the inverted pentagram (an upside-down
star), the goat is one of the most prominent symbols associated with
satanism. Part of this stems from its occult ties, such as the
goat-like form of the occult deity Baphomet
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baphomet
daimonizomai:
Original Word: δαιμονίζομαι
Phonetic Spelling: "dahee-mon-id-zom-ahee"
Definition: to be possessed by a demon.
2) to be under the power of a demon
Summary
This essay surveys the biblical terminology related to “demon
possession” before surveying the types of symptoms that are associated
with this phenomenon in the New Testament. It is argued on the basis of
evidence in the Gospels that “demon possession” can cause a wide range
of symptoms, many of which are virtually indistinguishable from the
symptoms associated with “normal illnesses,” i.e. illnesses that are
the result of living in a fallen world. In the end, it is suggested
that terms other than “demon possession” more accurately describe the
broad range of conditions that, according to the New Testament data,
can be directly caused by evil spirits.
Biblical Terminology Related to “Demon Possession”
The term “demon possession” is frequently used in English translations
of the New Testament, most notably in the Synoptic Gospels, to render
the meaning of the term "daimonizomai". In addition, the parallels
between Matthew 8:28, Mark 5:2 and Luke 8:27 suggest that the terms
“with an unclean spirit” (en pneumati akathartō) and “having a demon”
(echōn daimonian) are viewed as similar in meaning (cf. Mark 1:23/Luke
4:33), both to each other and to daimonizomai. These terms seem to
indicate the presence of demons or unclean spirits, who are exerting a
degree of regular or intermittent and pernicious influence in a
person’s life.
Symptoms of “Demon Possession”
The symptoms associated with “demon possession” vary significantly from
one exorcism account to another. On the one hand, this condition may
produce symptoms that are difficult to distinguish from those of
illnesses that are simply the result of living in a fallen world.
Specific accounts refer to an inability to speak, whether mentioned
alone (Matt. 9:32-33/Luke 11:14), together with blindness (Matt.
12:22-23), or as accompanied by intermittent seizures and an inability
to hear (Mark 9:14-29). In addition, Matthew 17:14-20 which contains a
general reference to seizures that are associated with “great suffering.
On the other hand one encounters as well the case of the Gadarene
demoniacs in Matthew 8:28-34, which is parallel to the accounts of the
Gerasene demoniac in Mark 5:1-20/Luke 8:26-39. In this case the
symptoms of demonic influence mimic a severe psychological or
psychiatric disorder which include ferocity (Matt. 8:28), social
isolation (i.e., living among the tombs—Matt. 8:28; Mark 5:2; Luke
8:27), dwelling on the mountains (Mark 5:5), “driven by the demon into
the desert” (Luke 8:29), nakedness (Luke 8:27), self-harm (Mark 5:5),
and excessive strength (Mark 5:3; Luke 8:29).

The specific signs of demonic possession include:
An irrational
aversion to sacred things and places. These would include crosses,
Bibles, churches, hymns, and prayer. The responses to these things are
a mixture of intense hatred and abject fear.
New Personality
Demon-possession means that a new personality is introduced to that
person - the victim becomes a different person. The Gadarene demoniac
acted and spoke as one who was controlled by another personality
New Abilities
A person who is demon-possessed acquires new abilities. For example,
those possessed by demons can demonstrate superhuman strength.
Suicidal Tendencies
Demon possession can lead to suicidal tendencies. The Bible says of one
person who was demon-possessed. It seems that demons want to physically
destroy the person they possess.
Different language occasionally, and/or different voice
Summary
The New Testament tells us some of the signs of demon possession The
demons are able to speak through their victims, they can demonstrate
new abilities, show different personalities, and exhibit suicidal
tendencies. The main thing to understand is that demon-possessed people
are controlled by this demonic presence. Though the symptoms may look
like mere psychological dysfunction, in actuality, the problem is
demon-possession.
Mary Magdalene had 7 demons cast out of her (Luke 8:2). Yeshua,
in one of his most famous miracles, cast out not 1 demon but several
thousand (a legion) from a Gadarenes' man (Luke 8:26 - 30).
A demon, if it chooses, is capable of possessing animals. Satan, in the
Garden of Eden, personally took over a creature with the ability to
speak and stand up in order to tempt Eve (Genesis 3). Several
thousand
demons preferred entering pigs rather than having nothing to torment
(Luke 8:31 - 33).
Those who are the victim of demon possession sometimes are endowed with
unusual abilities such as superhuman strength (Luke 8:29, Acts 19:14 -
15). Other times, they are deceivingly led to believe that the
disobedient spirit within them can contact the dead or foretell the
future (see our article on the witch of Endor). Usually, however, a
demon's primary task is to afflict their host.
In the gospels, demon possession is frequently mentioned in relation to
Jesus' earthly ministry. Many of his miraculous healings involved
freeing a person from such unwanted spiritual guests (Matthew 4:23 -
24, 8:16, Mark 3:11, Luke 6:12 - 18). The recording of such evil
activities underscored the Lord's goal of destroying the efforts of
Satan's kingdom (1John 3:8, Hebrews 2:14).
The Bible warns us not to take any demonic activity lightly (1Peter
5:8). God's adversaries have dedicated themselves to undermining, in
any way possible, the advancement of his kingdom. In fact, according to
Christ, their unity against God is such that they have agreed not to
fight amongst themselves or hinder each other's evil schemes (see
Matthew 12:25 - 26)!
Jesus had great compassion toward those suffering due to demon
possession. He initially gave his twelve disciples (Matthew 10:1, 8),
then later seventy believers (Luke 10:1, 17), the authority to cast
them out of people. He gave future Christians, as part of his great
commission (final instructions) to his church before his ascension, the
authority to cast out a demon (Mark 16:15 - 18).
Movies are filled with fantastic and frightening depictions of demonic
possession, including the heads of the possessed spinning around,
drastic changes in facial features, spitting a pea soup sort of fluid,
and much worse. These dramatic fantasies of diabolic activity
make for great horror films, but are they really accurate? As
Christians, we know we are in a spiritual war (Ephesians 6:12), but
what are the signs of demonic possession?
What is Demonic Possession?
Demonic possession is the occurrence of someone who has been partially
or fully possessed by an evil spirit, either willfully or in ignorance.
According to Gospel Coalition:
“Demon possession” is a term frequently used to
translate the Greek term daimonizomai in the New Testament. This term
describes a variety of conditions, both physical and
emotional-mental-psychological, for which the cause is identified as a
direct demonic influence. The remedy that Jesus and the Early Church
used for such conditions was exorcism, aided by fasting and prayer
(Mark 9:29 KJV).
Demonic possession is the most severe state of diabolic attack, as it
involves the transient involuntary loss of control of the faculties and
emotions. It is also the rarest form of diabolic attack, though
experienced exorcists have noted that it has been on the rise since the
1960s.
The reasons for this are the erosion of traditional Christian morals,
values, and ethics, which has given rise to sexual promiscuity and
other disordered sexual behaviors, materialism, the advancement of
various lies in government, schools, and culture, the destruction of
the traditional family, post-genderism, occultism, and, ultimately,
nihilism.
The Specific Signs of Demonic Possession
The specific signs of demonic possession include:
1. An irrational, uncontrollable aversion to sacred things and places.
These would include crosses, Bibles, churches, hymns, and prayer. The
responses to these things are a mixture of intense hatred and abject
fear.
2. The ability to speak languages completely unknown to the victim.
Often these languages are considered “dead” languages, such as Latin,
Koine Greek, Akkadian, etc.
The mere uttering of a few phrases is not considered evidence of
demonic possession since someone could glean these from a textbook.
The exorcist looks for a demonstrated fluency in the language that
defies all-natural explanation.
Sometimes what the demon says through the victim will be a direct clue
to how and why the demon gained access to the victim or even to the
demon’s identity.
3. A knowledge of things unknown to the victim. We are not talking of
educated guesses but detailed and precise knowledge of things distant
from the victim.
For example, knowledge of the secret activities or sins of a person
unknown to them, knowledge of things occurring to a family member or
friend in another place that later prove to have been accurate.
These are just a few signs an exorcist looks for in investigating
potential demonic possession.
How is Demonic Possession Different from Demonic Temptation?
First, it must be said that demonic possession is extremely rare. The
more common forms of demonic activity are diabolic temptation and
diabolic oppression. Many who are victims of these two forms of attack
mistakenly think themselves possessed.
By way of explaining these, I’ll start with the basics. We all have
five senses: sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste. It is through these
senses that we experience our world.
There is a sort of unseen force, so to speak, which we can call the
“common sense,” that binds the experiences of the individual senses
together, transferring it to our memory and imagination, generally in
the form of images.
For example, once you have experienced cherry pie, the smell and sight
of a cherry pie immediately bring to mind that experience — the taste,
texture, etc. Our cogitative faculty, making use of the data gained
from the senses, determines whether that pie is good or bad.
Likewise, this data can impact emotions. We have two types of emotions:
1. Antecedent Emotion. Those that occur without you thinking about it.
2. Consequent Emotion. These occur when you think about something and
are considering it.
Because we are fallen beings, our emotions, and imaginations are often
in error. We desire the things we should not, eschew the things we
should value, and are emotionally attached to things that work to our
own destruction.
Demons know these weaknesses and manipulate us via our imagination and
emotions. In diabolic temptation, they constantly bring to mind sinful
actions and disordered desires they know we have a weakness for.
If our weakness is sex, they will constantly bring to mind thoughts of
sexual pleasure, urging us to act on those desires. Our sensory data is
that of pleasure, so our Antecedent Emotion immediately takes pleasure
in the very thought of acting on the temptation.
When the demon suggests the sin, our Consequent Emotion will see the
image delivered by the “common sense,” and consider it. The longer we
entertain the image, the more we consider it, and the more likely we
are to act on the desire.
In diabolic temptation, demons make sure those images are brought to
mind constantly, at a far more frequent rate than normal temptations.
These are internal attacks. In diabolic oppression, we have a much more
external manifestation of demonic activity.
Demons will manipulate the victim’s life and environment, with the goal
of making them depressed, despondent, and despairing even of the grace
of God. The most obvious example we have of diabolic oppression is the
story of Job in Scripture.
Job lost everything — his children, his wealth, his health. He was made
miserable by the direct attack of the Adversary on his life. Job’s
victory was in his refusal to curse God, whom he maintained faith in,
even if he didn’t understand why he was suffering so (Job 1:22).
Unfortunately, most who are under oppression don’t have Job’s faith,
and they collapse under the vicious onslaught of the demonic.
They find their marriage in jeopardy or ending, their child develops a
drug habit, they lose their home, and their boss fires them
unexpectedly, all of which culminates in most people despairing of the
love of God and the value of life itself.
To be abundantly clear, we are not talking about a simple series of
unfortunate incidents but a constant string of negative outcomes that
defy the odds.
This form of attack also works on the imagination and emotions, often
leading to significant psychological problems and/or suicide. These are
the most common forms of demonic attack.
Should Christians Worry about Demonic Possession?
While it is indeed wise to be aware of the tactics and signs of the
enemy’s presence, it must be said, however, that Christians need not
fear these things if they are in a healthy relationship with Jesus
Christ.
Our proximity to Christ makes it much more difficult for the Adversary
to attack us, and He has given us authority over the power and tactics
of the enemy, and we are admonished in Scripture to take joy in the
fact that the evil spirits are subject to us through Him (Luke
10:19-20). Although it may seem like a scary concept, we are covered by
the blood of Jesus. The demons shudder at the name of Jesus. If a
Christian is saved through the name of Jesus, they have power over the
evil forces of this world.
Take heart and know that Christ has already won the battle and that
Satan and his demons will not hold power for long.

μνημείων means “a memorial/monument”, not “tomb”. And χαλεποὶ actually means “hard”, not “violent”
βασανίσαι means “torture”, not “torment”.

Mark 5:2-7
2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains,
and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken
in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with
thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that
thou torment me not."

In this version, it talks about how the human had been tied up in
shackles and chains, but the human had broken them, and nobody was
strong enough to subdue this human. (yes, “him” was not in the
original.)
5
It continues with “cut up one’s self a stone”
7
"cried" means "to scream"
It continues with “which Yeshua”, but that has been
badly translated to: “what business do we have with each other, Jesus?”
It calls itself “Legion - for we are many”.
χοίρων is indeed "a hog/swine"
"torment" is "torture"
ἐπνίγοντο means “to choke by the throat”, but get’s translated as “drowned”.
ἄνθρωπος (“anthropos”) means “human”, not “man”.

Luke 8:27-28
27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city
a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither
abode in any house, but in the tombs.
28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and
with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of
God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

ἐνεδύσατο means “to clothe” - which is not mentioned in the story. Probably to rate it “G”.
ἱκανῷ means “sufficient” time, not “a long time”.
"beg" is "to want"
Same as above - with the “torture” rather than “torment”.

Same with Mark - it talks about shackles and chains, but nothing about
“nobody could subdue it”. It does mention that it would break
it’s chains, and me driven by the demon into the desert. The
other accounts don’t mention that.
In this account, the “Legion” said “many demons have come in”. Again, this doesn’t get any “air time”.
This version states λίμνην - meaning “lake”, not “sea”.
Finally, ἀπεπνίγη ( basically: asphyxiate ) - means “to choke”.

Billy Graham:
"In the very last days angels will wage still another war in heaven;
Satan will make his last stand. As the time draws near, he intensifies
his activities. But it will be a victorious day for the universe,
and especially planet Earth, when the devil and his angels are thrown
into the lake of fire, never again to tempt and destroy man. God has
assigned this task to the angels, and Scripture assures us that they
will be victorious (see Matthew 13:41–42)."

Graham.)

Is the war in heaven in Revelation 12 describing Satan’s original fall
or an end times angelic battle?
Answer The last great angelic battle and Satan’s ultimate expulsion
from heaven are described in Revelation 12:7–12. In this passage, John
sees a great war between Michael and the angels of God and the dragon
(Satan) and his fallen angels or demons that will take place in the end
times.

The War in Heaven was the grand conflict between the rebel angels under
Lucifer and the loyal angels under Michael. It
is widely regarded by
many as the first war in creation. It began after Lucifer was led to
believe that, from being told by God of His plans for everything in the
long run,

Located as it is in the book's center, Revelation 12 is considered by
many scholars as the central and key vision of the war in heaven. It
depicts the decisive conflict between the church, the devil, and the
royal child, Jesus Christ.

Read Revelation 12:7-9. What does this passage reveal about the freedom
existing in heaven and the origin of evil? When Lucifer rebelled, in
what ways could God have responded? These verses describe a cosmic
conflict between good and evil. Satan and his angels warred against
Christ and, eventually, were cast out of heaven. It seems extremely
strange that war would break out in such a perfect place as heaven. Why
did it happen? Did a loving God create a demonic angel who
initiated this war? Was there some fatal flaw in this angel that led
him to rebel? The Bible clearly explains the origin of evil. It draws
the curtain aside in this conflict between good and evil.
Compare Ezekiel 28:12-15 and Isaiah 14:12-14. What went on in the mind
of this angelic being called Lucifer that led to his rebellion?
God did not create a devil. He created a being of dazzling brightness
named Lucifer. This angelic being was created
perfect. Included in his
perfection was freedom of choice—a fundamental principle of God’s
government, which runs by love, not coercion. Sin originated with
Lucifer in heaven itself. There is no logical explanation why this
perfect angel should have allowed pride and jealousy to take root in
his heart and grow into rebellion against his Creator.
Lucifer, a created being, desired the worship that belonged only to the
Creator. He attempted to usurp God’s throne by questioning God’s
authority. His rebellion led to open warfare in heaven.
I do know one thing FOR SURE: Lucifer is
NOT ugly - with a forked
tail and horns. The creature was (and IS) BEAUTIFUL, and God gave
the Highest of Angels WISDOM (FAR more than Solomon ever had - by LIGHT
YEARS!!), the gift of MUSIC. Yes - all of that
music you LOVE -
that is Satanic or has Satanic roots - ALL POP MUSIC!!! - is from
Satan. See - I TOLD you it was beautiful.

WAR in the Bible
Judges 6:16
(KJV) "And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou
shalt smite the Midianites as one man."
Hebrew: יְהוָ֔ה וַיֹּ֤אמֶר כִּ֥י וְהִכִּיתָ֥ מִדְיָ֖ן אֶחָֽד׃
כְּאִ֥ישׁ
Literally means: "Yahvweh to
sey that/for/when
to and you
hit Midyan
one as a man"
"Lucifer" MEANS "perfection", “morning star” or “light bringer”.
Satan in Hebrew:
שָׂטָן
Pronounced "saw-tawn" - means "adversary".
Lucifer in Hebrew (Satan's real label) is:
הֵילֵל
hêlēl, (pronounced : "hay-lale")
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2muYINdCXFE
God created Lucifer a perfect sinless angel. The Bible
describes
his original state: “You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom
and perfect in beauty…You were the anointed cherub who covers;
I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God…You were
perfect in your ways from the day you were created, till iniquity was
found in you” (Ezekiel 28:12-15).
God gave Lucifer and His angels the freedom of choice. This
freedom is God’s master plan for the universe (kosmos). God’s purpose
for
creation was to share His love with His creation. The very nature of
free choice is to be free from force. Therefore, any decisions made are
the person’s own responsibility and cannot be blamed on God.
Ezekiel 28:12
(KJV) "Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and
say unto
him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom,
and perfect in beauty."
Yes, Lucifer has 3 gifts:
BEAUTY
Music
Wisdom
The "serpent" (they say it was a fallen angel, NOT a snake)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfRWZASrR0I
Gen 3:1
וְהַנָּחָשׁ֙
(na·chash - or ve·han·na·chash) - pronounced “naa-cccccosh"
It CAN mean “a serpent”. It ACTUALLY means “a shining
one”, or “a deceiver / enchanter”, and lastly: “to practice
divination" [attempt to gain insight or secret knowledge into a
question or situation by way of an occultic, standardized process or
ritual].
Basically, na·chash means “a deceiver” or shining one.
Now, WHY would a simple snake - in The Garden of Eden
- be described as "more crafty than any other wild animal”. That
implies a much higher intelligence level than a person would expect
from an ordinary animal. “a shining one” would mean NOT a snake,
but a radiant, supernatural being ...
or “an ANGELIC being (like the Bible is full of!). Think LUCIFER”.
Ezekiel 28:13-14, the fallen angel is described with precious stones.
2 Corinthians 11:14: “Lucifer himself masquerades as an angel of light”.
Jesus called Peter "Satan"
Matthew 16:23
Actual Koine Greek word is Σατανᾶς - pronounced "sah-tah-NAHS", which
means "an Adversary/an Accuser", not "the devil". The Devil - correctly
called "Lucifer" - which means "perfection" - and it is a *feminine*
name - has always been the translation. Or "mistranslation" as it were.
Tho whole "verse" ** reads: στραφεὶς Πέτρῳ ὕπαγε ὀπίσω σατανᾶ σκάνδαλον
φρονεῖς θεοῦ ἀνθρώπων
It literally translates to "to turn back/to convert/to change Petros to
lead back an adversary a stick for bait/a snare to have understanding
God humans"
So, the "He", "me", "you" - as with the entire Bible - all pronouns -
were added by Translators.
Lucifer literally means "the one who carries the light", so that's the
same as "light bearer", or "close enough". This name is formed
from the Latin words "lux", which means "light", and "fero", which
means "carry". However ... the original Hebrew literally
means "shining one". We here go by the original, not
translations - and mostly "of translations - of translations".
Jeremiah 8:8
(KJV) "How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us?
Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain."
Means: "to say wise
direction/instruction/law
Yahweh behold/see
deception/disappointment/falsehood a marking
stick/writing instrument
do/make deception/disappointment/falsehood"
So, "How do we" was added, "We are", "and the", "Lord is with us",
"certainly in", "made he it", "the", "of the scribes is in" - were all
added.

On a PERSONAL note:
1) in Florida, 245 Ohio Rd - I was in the washroom, I
had just finished brushing my teeth, and I heard rustling in the
bushes just outside the window. I looked at the window (which was
high - to any person standing outside), and I saw a large head - with
very eerie, olmost glowing eyes. I "dropped my jaw" for about 5 seconds, and
seeing the eyes move, I YELLED for my brothers and father. We
all "chased" outside - looking for ANY person or entity, but no
footprints, or sighting. Although we assumed "big foot" or
a very tall human ... I now am convinced it was either a small demon,
or an alien. It was NOT human. We later measured it, and
the base of the window was about arm's length taller than my father
(normal height)'s head .... so it was a VERY tall entity. it's
eyes were wide, and a blend of green and red - somewhat "glowing" or
highly reflective.
2) I was about 15 (I'm now in my late 60's), I know it wasn't "normal" - as
was the "entity" when camping with Eddie Giles. I have had THREE
"alien" experiences and I was abducted in Mexico. I think God
gave these to me because:
1) I would not "disregard" them
2) I would have the emotional strength to deal with them
3) I would vocalize them throughout life
4) I would have the memory of them. Over life, I have found that
many (people) don't have memory retention - so many forget so much!
I also have all of this noted on my "UFO" page.
Wait - did I just write "God's evil spirit"???? What is God's
evil spirit??
The term "evil spirit from God" appears in the context of the Old
Testament, specifically in the narrative of King Saul.
Biblical References:
1. 1 Samuel 16:14-16 : "Now the Spirit of the LORD had departed from
Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD tormented him. Saul’s servants
said to him, 'Surely an evil spirit from God is tormenting you. Let our
lord command your servants here to seek out a man who can play the
harp. When the evil spirit from God comes upon you, he will play, and
you will feel better.'"
2. 1 Samuel 18:10 : "The next day a spirit from God rushed upon Saul,
and he prophesied inside the house while David was playing the harp as
usual. Saul was holding a spear."
3. 1 Samuel 19:9 : "But an evil spirit from the LORD came upon Saul as
he was sitting in his house with his spear in hand. As David was
playing the harp, Saul tried to pin him to the wall with his spear, but
David eluded him, and Saul drove the spear into the wall."
Theological Interpretation:
The phrase "evil spirit from God" is understood within the framework of
God's sovereignty and His ultimate control over all creation, including
spiritual entities. In the context of Saul's life, the departure of the
Spirit of the LORD signifies a divine judgment upon Saul for his
disobedience and rejection as king. The sending of an "evil spirit" is
seen as a further act of judgment, allowing Saul to experience the
consequences of his actions.
The term "evil" in this context does not imply moral evil on God's part
but rather a spirit that brings distress or calamity. The Hebrew word
"ra" can mean evil, distressing, or harmful, and it is used to describe
the spirit's effect on Saul. This aligns with the understanding that
God, in His righteousness, can use even malevolent forces to accomplish
His purposes, as seen in other biblical narratives (e.g., Job 1:6-12).
REMEMBER:
Demons are on an evil mission to destroy humanity in any way they can.
These evil spirits are responsible for strange behavior, blindness,
sickness, and disease (cf. Mark 1:23-27 NIV; Matthew 12:22; Matthew
17:14-18; Mark 1:34). They can take over a physical body. This
possession can cause physical disorders like blindness, seizures, and
inability to speak and hear. A legion of demons possessed the Gadarene
man, causing him to live as a wild man in the tombs. They also enabled
him to have superhuman strength (Mark 5:1-20).
2. Evil Spirits Are Loyal to Satan
Demons are faithful to Satan, the prince of darkness and humanity’s
worst enemy. Lucifer was the most beautiful and wisest of God’s created
beings. His beauty and wisdom made him puffed up with pride.
Ultimately, Lucifer persuaded a third of the angels of heaven to join
him in an uprising against God. They were cast out of heaven and then
confined to the earth for their act of rebellion.
